Vivekananda Abhyudaya Prakalpa
(Funded by Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah)

A welfare Scheme through which 35 poor students are getting benefit on development of physical and mental health and improve their knowledge in our Center. Nutritious food items for better health like Eggs, Bread, Milk, Horlicks, Boost, Nutrition Powder, Fruits etc. are supplied to them. Bathing Soaps, Soaps for washing clothes, Towels, Buckets & Mugs, Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste, Tongue Cleaner, Nail Cutter, Coconut oil, Mosquito Net, Foot wear etc. are given to them for better Hygiene. Coaching based on school curriculum, Spoken English Classes, Basic concepts of computing with training in basic computer operations, Vocational Training, Study tour, Classes on music, drawing, painting, drama etc.

For Physical and Mental develpopment of Tribals

Moral Classes, Secular Teaching, Games, Varities of Exercises and Distribution of books on moral lessons and stories are conducted.

Anna Danam to Patients

Nearly 200 poor patients are given free food every Thursday.

Nearly 350 poor patients are given free food every Sunday.

Endoscopy, Scanning & Pathology:

Once in a month the above facilities are provided by visiting specialist doctors.

Free Mobile Dispensary for Tribals:

Started in 1984, serves the interior villages in the agency area for 4 days a week. It has a base camp at Rampachodavaram for the staff to stay and to house the medical equipments and laboratory.

Services are available for radiological, pathological, ECG, Ultrasound scan and other investigations and tests. Patients from 250 to 300 villages surrounding these camps are benefitted by these medical services.

Apart from regular camps, special camps are conducted by specialist doctors specialized in tuberculosis, gynaecology, E.N.T., paediatrics, Skin, Dental, Surgical, Pathology. Eye camps are also conducted in which patients are screened for cataract. Selected patients are brought to Rajahmundry and operated. During this period they are provided free transport, food and spectacles

Homeopathic Dispensary:

Started in 1972, works between 8a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Special Medical Camps:

8 Special Medical Camps were conducted during the year in which 5,262 patients were treated by Specialist Doctors in various fields like Paediatrics, Gynaecology, TB, ENT, Skin, Diabetes, Cardiology, etc. Tests are conducted on blood, urine etc. X-Ray, ECG, Ultra Sound Scanning facilities are also available.

T.B Treatment:

In tribal areas T.B. is rampant and many patients are coming to our camps for treatment. With the help of RNTCP – DOT scheme we are treating TB patients under our supervision. At present 125 patients are undergoing treatment.
